I have been in the health and human services field for most of my life. I started out volunteering as a child/young adult with multiple programs for people with disabilities from special Olympics to SOAR Fox Cities and more, as my younger brother was born with some disabilities. When I graduated high school, I started working with adults with special needs and helped to teach them a variety of skills and make their life’s more enjoyable daily. I have worked in a variety of different positions in different capacities since including being an Activity Director and Volunteer Coordinator at a nursing home for a variety of years, working at the front desk at a health care facility, translating as I am bilingual in Spanish, and lastly working with clients who were more independent with their care and life where I was helping them get the benefits they need to continue a healthy independent lifestyle and connecting them with food pantries and making group food pantry runs to ensure their food needs were met. In my free time I enjoy spending time with my goddaughter, being outdoors, going for a walk, at a park or beach, a variety of music and I enjoy helping people and making their life better in any way I can.

I have always had a passion for helping others throughout my career working in nonprofit organizations. I’ve had the opportunity to support the Spanish speaking community through different programs available to low-income families. If they are facing the electricity being turned off or at risk of being homeless and now food insecurity these challenges are every day a struggle for our community. It is so rewarding to be able to support the families I come to connect with. Their smiling faces are a sign of relief that people do care and that no one should go hungry!
